Movie Synopsis: The In a Better World (Hævnen) is a narrative movie. It gets the 2011 Oscar for best foreign language film. The better life is not a dream, and it is entirely possible to become the reality. In the movie, Anton is a doctor who runs from his home in an beautiful idylic town in Denmark, but works at an African refugee camp. For the extremely different between the two places, they must do the difficult choices between revenge and forgiveness,when he and his family are meet all kinds of conflicts and contradictions.

The relationship between Anton and his wife Marianne is not very well, it is possible for them to divorce. Because they are separated for a long time and his betray in marriage. they have two boys, the older one, ten-year-old , Elias is being bullied at school. Fortunately, he is protected with the help of a new boy named Christian who has just moved from London with his father, and his mother dead in cancer. Christian is extremely sad about his mother’s death.

Elias and Christian quickly become good friends. The friendship between them seem to be not damaged. But their friendship is tested and lives are in danger because they are face to a potentially tragic consequences of Elias’ dangerous act of revenge, Christian being involved. At last, their parents help them to term with the complexity of human emotions, pain and empathy.
