After WarⅡ，Ip Man and his family escape the Japanese occupation of his hometown of Foshan, China. Ip Man and his family have arrived in Hong Kong, he wants to open a martial arts academy to support his family.And he wants to teach his unique Wing Chun style to more people.But a location cabal of Hong Kong martial arts masters,led by Hung Chun-nam can’t allow him to teach there unless he proves himself.After an intense series of fights against the masters, Ip use his Wing Chun style to fight them.He shows a dazzling variety of martial arts styles, culminating in a highly anticipated brawl between Ip and Hung atop a rickety table.Of course he gains much respect of them ,but a series of troubles are coming to Ip.Hong Kong is living under the iron fist of British colonial rule at that time.Ip and Hung Chun-nam masters fight against English government together.They show ue a story of a hero.Ip is not only has exquisite Kongfu,but also has a virtuous heart.He helps the poor and teach many people and develop his Wing Chun style. Taylor “Twister” Milos ,a Western-style boxer comes to town to entertain the British upper-class.He thought his style is the best.And he want to insult Chinese martial arts and the native citizens.His style is so voilent and his speed is so fast.Ip must come out boldly,and he must fight for the honor of his Wing Chun style,Chinese Kongfu and Chinese people.It’s a competition between West and East.Both of them want to prove themselves and Ip wants to develop his Wing Chun style.He also want to prove Chinese people are prowerful.Forced by honor to enter a brutal “King of the Ring” boxing match,they show us a wonderful competition.
